Call for Expressions of Interest - 5th IPM Biennial Conference 2019

Now that the dust has settled on the 2017 Manchester instalment, the Institute of Place Management is seeking expressions of interest from organisations/institutions who are keen to collaborate on the next biennial conference.

This year was the second time the conference has been held in Manchester, adding to previous events in London and Poznan (Poland), and building on experience gained through collaboration on other international conferences (Berlin, Bogota, Utrecht).

For the 2019 conference, we are looking to once again venture outside of Manchester. To this end, we are now accepting expressions of interest from organisations/institutions who are interested in collaborating with the Institute of Place Management for the 5th in our biennial series.

The improvement of places draws from a number of disciplines, and the synthesis of this knowledge exists in many guises, as exemplified by some of our conference themes over the last eight years or so; 'The Business of Place',  'Sustainability, liveability and connectivity', and 'Inclusive placemaking'. By bringing together academics, policy makers and practitioners working in place management and placemaking, we aim to facilitate the development of theoretical, practical and policy development. We are now seeking to add to this development of knowledge by collaborating with a partner to run the next instalment of the conference.
