IPM Research Seminar: Festive Special

13th December, 3-5pm

Manchester Metropolitan Business School

It's time for another exciting line-up of short, sharp bursts of place research from IPM members at Manchester Metropolitan University and our friends from further afield. Dr Steve Millington will be chairing, with bells and whistles (literally).

This will be a traditional IPM research seminar, where speakers only have 10 minutes (strictly timed) to share their current research projects, ideas, findings or impact with fellow members.

As it is the festive season, we will provide our members with a feast of mince pies and mulled wine.

Speakers already confirmed:

Our very own director, Professor Ares Kalandides will be presenting his work on "Citizen participation in Berlin“.

Chair of Corfu Symposium on Managing & Marketing Places, Dr Heather Skinner will be presenting her work on "Coping with success - Presenting the IPM Visiting Places SIG Toolkit of resources on Overtourism"

All the way from Thailand, Dr Viriya Taeharungroj will be discussing his research "User-Generated Place Brand Identity: Harnessing the Power of Content of Social Media Platforms"

Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Sport and LeisureHistory, Dr Nick Piercey will present his research on football spaces in Amsterdam and Rotterdam around WW1
