MSc Place Management and Leadership Webinar

We are hosting a webinar to introduce you to the course and give you the opportunity to hear from course tutors, current students and graduates of the course, as well as learning more about the qualifications we offer.

During the hour-long webinar, we will be explaining the content of the MSc, PG Diploma and PG Certificate in Place Management and Leadership and hosting a Q&A session. We will also be delivering a short taster session to give you an example of the type of content you will learn.

If you are interested in postgraduate study in place management and leadership, this webinar will be a perfect introduction to what it is like to study with the Institute of Place Management at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Some of the people you will be hearing from:

Simon Quin (Graduate and Tutor) – Simon studied the MSc with us and graduated in 2012. Completing the course helped accelerate Simon’s career in the place management sector, he is now a Visiting Professor and Director at the Institute of Place Management.  Simon is also Practitioner Editor of the Journal of Place Management and Development. Simon leads the £1m Innovate-funded Bringing Big Data to Small Users project.

Steve Millington (Tutor) – Steve is Senior Lecturer here at Manchester Metropolitan and he has wide range of teaching specialities including Human Geography, Urbanism and Planning and Place Management. Steve is also a Director and Senior Fellow at the Institute of Place Management focusing on projects such as High Street UK 2020.

Cathy Parker (Course Leader) – Cathy is the current Chair of the Institute of Place Management. She is Professor of Retailing and Marketing Enterprise, leads a number of commercial and research projects and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Place Management and Development.
