Event Summary

Destination marketing is a relatively young discipline. Over the past 10 years, cyberspace has proven to be crucial in establishing a city presence or reputation. Many cities, municipalities and regions that developed identities and slogans a number of years ago are now entering a tricky 'second phase' of development and are asking questions such as:

  • How do we differentiate ourselves from our competitors?
  • How do we compete internationally?
  • Now that we’ve established our identity and slogan, what comes next?
  • What should we be doing today that we didn’t do 10 years ago?
