IPM Research Seminar, 13th September

In this research seminar, we will be hosting a very special guest Graham Soult as our keynote speaker.

Graham Soult is the founder of Gateshead-based retail consultancy CannyInsights.com, and works with stores, shopping centres, and towns across the UK to improve their offer and marketing. Among his current projects is work to champion Chester-le-Street in County Durham, funded by two of the town’s biggest retail landlords.

Graham’s distinctive background combines digital marketing and place management expertise with an in-depth understanding of retail trends. This timely, holistic view of retail is reflected in Graham’s recent election as a Fellow of the IPM, his recognition as a top retail influencer on Twitter, and his frequent TV, radio and press contributions.

Graham will be presenting "The retail future of the market town: lessons from Chester-le-Street”.

There will also be a number of presenters who will have just 10 minutes to share their current research projects, ideas, findings or impact with fellow members. Dr. Steve Millington will be chairing, with bells and whistles (literally). You can read a summary of our last seminar here

In between all the talking, we will be eating nibbles (yes there will be cake) and drinking tea and coffee. As usual, we will continue the networking and debate at Sand Bar.

We are currently looking for speakers for the seminar, if you are an IPM member and have some research or project work you would like to share, please get in touch with our marketing co-ordinator tom (T.hindmarch@mmu.ac.uk)

The seminar will take place at Manchester Met Business School on 13th September at 3-5pm.

Please note this event is for members of the Institute of Place Management, the Landscape Institute and ATCM members only.
