New member systems to go live!

We have been working hard with our partners at MyKnowledgeMap over the past 24 months to bring you a new, and very much improved, member area. This will be available to members only and will contain resources, discussion boards and access to the Journal of Place Management and Development.  The new area will be very much structured around what you are interested in – so you will be free to join as many (or as few) of our Special Interest Groups that are relevant to you. We have been trialing the new system over the last 10 months with our postgraduate students – who are also all place managers.  So thank you to them for testing all the functions. Thanks also to other members who have been involved in scoping out what was needed from the new system.

As part of our overhaul of member services we will also be launching a new membership management system and we are busy transferring all our records over.  We hope this transfer will be a seamless as possible – but where we have missing or incorrect information we will be in touch with members to ensure this information is as accurate as possible.  Of course, we take our responsibilities regarding your personal data very seriously so we will never share this information with anyone.  It is only held so we can contact you, send you your membership certificate and ensure you can access the full range of member services. You will be able to maintain your own member record in the new system too.

You will be getting your new login details for the new system in the next few weeks by email.  It’s important you look out for this email as we will be turning off the old member area shortly after the new one goes live. We hope you find the new facilities useful – but we would like your feedback (good or bad!). Please let us know what you think at info@placemanagement.org
