ABOUT SPRINGBOARD

Springboard Research Ltd is a privately owned company established in 2002, delivering intelligence and insights into the performance of high streets.

The management team has a combined experience of 100 years working within the footfall monitoring and retail industries, providing a wide range of technological and research services.

All of Springboard’s directors have a professional background in research, marketing, technology and consultancy within the retail and property industries and, therefore, have a deep and implicit understanding of the requirements for measuring and benchmarking performance and for establishing robust data.

THE SPRINGBOARD SERVICE

The company works with Local Authorities, Town Centre Management Companies and Business Improvement Districts providing three key monitoring services to town centres:

1. Automated footfall counting
2. Perform – high street sales tracking
3. Milestone – online performance monitoring and benchmarking

Springboard is the only provider of a comprehensive performance monitoring and benchmarking capability for town and city centres, which is a function of its detailed understanding of and experience of working within this complex trading environment.
Springboard is the only organisation to provide dedicated benchmarking for town and city centres. Springboard’s National High Street Index is now regarded as the key industry metric for town centre performance – published each month in collaboration with the British Retail Consortium and the Association of Town and City Management it enables towns and cities to compare their performance against key benchmarks.

Springboard’s experience in implementing and managing high street footfall counting is second to none, and its technologies are the most accurate and flexible that are available. Its footfall counting technologies employ 3G technology which negates the need for a hard wired broadband connection.
