Being an IPM Partner signifies that your organisation has expertise and experience of value to the place management sector, either globally or locally.
Your status as an IPM Partner communicates your organisation’s support of place management to a wide range of people; like-minded associations, clients, potential funding bodies, professional colleagues and other stakeholders.
IPM works with a range of partners including universities and research centres, providers of place data and intelligence, training companies and conference organisers, consultancies, local and municipal authorities, place partnerships, Business Improvement Districts and town centre management organiations. Increasingly we are being joined by important anchor institutions in locations, like museums, who want to play a more active role in place making and management. Amongst other things, we increase the visibility of what our partners do and help them reach a wider and more diverse audience as well as offer opportunities to join exciting consortia and innovative projects.
Partnership costs just £250 Per Annum.
Only Partners have the opportunity to apply for IPM accreditation and endorsement of their products and services. Accreditation or endorsement by the IPM shows your potential customers in the industry that they are getting a quality product; something that will help them to do their job better. We can accredit a variety of products including:
  • Training
  • Qualifications
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Consultancy
  • Project Design
  • Planning
  • Conferences

There are two stages to the process of becoming a Partner member of IPM:

Before you can submit an application for Partner membership, you will first need to register for an IPM account. This is a quick and easy process that should only take a couple of minutes. Once your account is set up, you will become the representative for your organisation. You will be emailed your login details, and given 30 days free access to IPM, during which time you should complete your Partner membership application.

Once you have registered as the named representative for your organisation, you can apply for your organisation to become a Partner member. The fastest and easiest method is to complete and submit an online application using the appropriate link below.

Please note, all applications must be accompanied by your assessment fee (£90). You can pay this online, or request an invoice. Your application will not be assessed until the assessment fee has been paid.

Once the assessment fee has been paid, we will then review your application. Our aim is to do this as quickly as possible, though at busy times this can take up to 4 weeks.

As part of the assessment process, we may request further information to support your Partner membership application.

Once your application has been approved, you will be invited to pay your Partner membership fee. When the membership fee is received, your organisation will become a Partner member of the Institute of Place Management, joining the global community of people dedicated to making better places.
