IPM welcomes two new staff members

The Institute has recently welcomed two new members of staff to its team. They will be assisting with IPM’s delivery of the High Street Task Force and its membership services, including The BID Foundation (TBF).

Both Maria and Gary bring a wealth of experience in their respective fields to the team. Maria Lorono Leturiondo has been appointed as Research Associate, and Gary Shaw to the role of IT and Systems Manager.

Maria, originally from Bilbao, has recently completed her PhD in Science Communication at Manchester Metropolitan University. Prior to working and studying in Manchester, Maria lived in the Danish capital of Copenhagen, where she completed her Master’s degree in Cognition and Communication. Maria will work with the team to deliver IPM and The BID Foundation’s ambitious and multi-disciplinary research agenda over the next five years.

On her appointment, Maria said, “I am thrilled to join the IPM in its mission to improve places so that they thrive and meet the needs of their communities. In my first two weeks, I have already realised that I have joined a hardworking, creative, fun, and very welcoming team.”
