Warwickshire Future Places Routemap

This webpage is for stakeholders in the county of Warwickshire

The purpose of the Warwickshire Future Places Routemap is to bring together agencies responsible for management, development and marketing of towns into a county-wide development programme,  to identify the key factors that will dictate the future of Warwickshire’s towns and high streets and to assess what stakeholders and partnerships need to focus on to survive and thrive over the next 15 years.

This programme delivered by the Institute of Place Management in partnership with Warwickshire County Council will take a holistic view of the places in the county and will cover several key themes across eight sessions, identifying the fundamental infrastructure and partnerships required including steps to ensuring each places in Warwickshire can evolve positively. The process should provide a collective understanding of the research and data available to forecast trends, evidence need and identify local action.

The programme will take place over the course of 9 months and in addition to the 8 bespoke sessions will include a mid-project report and end of project report to consolidate the learning from the sessions.

Part One – Challenges and opportunities, May-August

In the first part of the routemap, we will introduce the programme and the overall content and aims. There will be three 'Big Picture' sessions which will analyse the challenges and opportunities for places.

Part Two – Taking action, September-December

These sessions will provide participants with adaptable frameworks and tools to combat issues highlighted in part one of the programme. Part two will look in-depth at each of the 4Rs, a set framework for transformation developed and tested by IPM.
