A new politics of 'place' - 8th August

Busy street

‘Place’ is being redefined by a new Government in Westminster.

Out are Levelling Up, competitive capital, and National Planning Policy Framework.

In are housing targets and new towns, a new approach to prisons, and, above all, a strong, steady economy to attract new investment.

___

Join The BID Foundation and The Institute of Place Management on 8th August to explore a new political setting for the work of UK BIDs and other placemakers.

  • What new policies are expected?
  • How will they affect businesses and local councils?
  • How should placemakers be reacting now?
  • What challenges and complaints are you likely to hear on high streets?

The 1 hour session will cover a wide range of new plans: leasehold reform; renters reform; pedicabs licensing; Martyns Law; local housebuilding targets; the review of planning; new towns; and even the future of self-driving cars on our roads.
