What makes a place special? Uniqueness? Heritage? Assets? Indeed, to say boldly “This is the place I’m proud to call home” is a definition of choice.

IPM Partners, We Are Staffordshire, launched their new quality of life offer this year to bring the vibrant offer and stories of Staffordshire’s assets and attractions to life. The new work shows a more confident picture of what it would be like to call Staffordshire home, through their latest campaign, ‘A Place to Thrive.

The campaign features a new prospectus and video to discover what Staffordshire, UK has to offer: https://wearestaffordshire.co.uk/live-here/

Attracting new residents

Staffordshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and skills Philip White said: “We’re excited to be launching A Place to Thrive on Staffordshire Day. Through the brochure and wider campaign people will really be able to get a feel for our county and why it’s attracting new residents from other areas all the time.

“We know what a great county Staffordshire is and all it has to offer and we want to share its assets far and wide. The campaign enables us to capture this and present to potential new residents, helping to sell the county on the national and international stage.

“We’d urge people to take a look and share with friends, family and work colleagues across the country.”

Hannah Ault is place board chair of We are Staffordshire and managing director of ceramics material manufacturer Valentine Clays Ltd. She said: “I believe our county offers an outstanding quality of life for its people, with boundless natural assets and proud history at every turn. I firmly believe that Staffordshire has an innovative and bold future and for me. It is the only place I will ever call home.”

We Are Staffordshire is the place marketing organisation, championing Staffordshire as a place to live, work, invest and study.

The organisation has also just announced it is joining the City Nation Place Advisory Group, a leading international advisory board for place marketing. It is the first UK location to join the Group which was founded by New Zealand Story Group, Brand Tasmania and Wesgro, and includes representatives from global cities like Pittsburgh, Copenhagen, and Vancouver.

Together with We Are Staffordshire, these leading decision makers in place branding and development will connect to share their work and insights from place marketing and branding in their unique towns, cities and regions.
